In addition to her life as a performer, Leslie has been an independent sales and marketing consultant for over 25 years. She graduated with a BS in Marketing from Cal State University of Long Beach. Leslie's involvement with the acting world inspired her to teach aspiring and seasoned actors how to effectively network and market themselves in "the business of show business." Her workshops has attracted students of all ages from all over the world to learn the essential skills they need to succeed in a difficult and highly competitive business. She created and began teaching her workshops in 2002. Many celebrities that she has met over the years told her that they wished they did not just focus on the craft of their
acting career but incorporated learning the ins and outs of the
business side of things too!
All actors must understand that they are the CEO of their own business. Their talent is the product that needs to be promoted. Leslie was motivated and inspired to create "The Business of Acting" workshop for she continued to meet actors on and off sets that had not acquired marketing and business skills to help them handle the show business challenges in the Entertainment Industry. In 2002, Leslie noticed workshops like this were non existance in Hollywood or even the local colleges. Her goal and her passion is to teach and assist others acheive their Dreams!
Leslie has empowered, inspired, motivated,and uplifted almost a thousand actors young and old over the years. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm is contagious! Leslie still gets emails and thank you notes from past students thanking her for her guidance and encouragement and sharing their successes that have occured since taking the workshop. After the students complete the workshop, Leslie keeps an open door policy where they can email or call her with any questions about their "Business of Acting".
